Descriptions:
Komárek (1992): Filamentous; filaments (trichomes) solitary, free living, immotile, without gelatinous sheaths or envelopes, torulous, simple, not branched, composed from spherical cells and at one end narrowed, with ellipsoid-cylindrical, slightly elongated cells. Cells pale blue-green, with solitary large, prominent granules within the cell content. Heterocytes and akinetes not known.
