Descriptions:
Casamatta et al. (2006): Differing from all genera in the Microchaetaceae by cell division in two planes. Filaments falsely
branching, with one or more trichomes per filament. Trichomes isopolar. Hormogonia one to few celled, capable of undergoing division in two planes.
