Descriptions:
Komárek (1992): Thallous; thallus in a form of thin mat, covering the substrate, grey-green, composed from densely, more or less paralely situated, slightly irregularly waved, creeping filaments; sheaths thin, homogeneous, sometimes laterally confluent. Trichomes always uniserial, cylindrical, commonly irregularly branched (V-type), with barrel-shaped and cylindrical, more or less isodiametric cells (moniliform-torulous and cylindrical segments irregularly alternate along trichomes). Heterocytes
intercalar.
